It was after taking on the beautiful but not so friendly Outeniqua Mountains that I decided that a weekend in Cape Town would be a great idea. I then started my search on bookings.com and found this gorgeous boutique hotel. I fell in love instantly and could not wait to get there. When the day finally arrived the hotel staff called me as early as 09:00 to tell me that my room was ready, though it was way too early for check-in. An opportunity I could not pass up, so I took them up on their offer and when I got there I was in awe, it was everything and more.
Perched on the hills of Camps Bay, is 3 on Camps Bay Boutique Hotel that boasts an amazing living space and a modern dining area, located about 27km from the airport. It is a quiet and cozy place with the most amazing views of the Camps Bay Beach. For the most precious views get on the deck on the first floor where one can unwind, swim or spend sometime reading a book or sun baking while enjoying the best view from the hotel.
The rooms are huge and spacious with a large bathroom that offers a bath and a shower option and has a modern look all around. I loved the comfort of my bed as it is the first thing I always check out when I get to a hotel. With the right amount of money in your wallet you can score yourself a penthouse with the grand view of Camps Bay Beach and the Lions Head mountain. There are no minibars in the rooms; however, there is an honesty bar by the poolside. Though they are mindful of the water situation in Cape Town, you still get fresh towels everyday. The TV has all the premium channels, a great night in guaranteed.
The dinning experience
The hotel only serves breakfast, however they will always recommend places for other dinning times. There is also a Mr Delivery option that one can put into use. I love having breakfast and I enjoyed theirs particularly because they serve fresh food and there was no waiting for stuff that got finished, no matter how late you came for breakfast. Everything is readily available and they have more options than your regular hotels.
I loved the idea of the lovely area on the fist floor that people can use to relax or have a good time watching TV. The pool is ever blue waiting for someone to take a dip. The hotel has many interesting features like rocks that you can chill on when you want fresh air and the back has a lot of trees which gives it a very homely feel. 3 on Camps Bay also has a fully fledged office desk that guests can use at no cost, from copies, scans and printing not to mention the internet connected to an unlimited wifi. The brilliant location of the hotel also affords you access to all the restaurants, night clubs and grooming places along the promenade in less than 10 minutes.
This hotel has the most spectacular views. From the back you can see the Table Mountain, infact it is right at the back of it so it is literally meters away. The upper deck gives an outstanding view of the Lion’s head, one of the most visited attractions in Cape Town. The upper deck also gets your closer to the beach, Camps Bay looks amazing from that deck.
3 on Camps Bay Boutique Hotel will exceed your expectation and give you value for your money and many more frills. For an amazing time with all the leading attractions at your door step, this is the place for you. If you are a returning guest and you are booking with the hotel directly you will get a 15% discount.
